Just read TBM's report on the Belgian GS Rally.

Read that someone had a 12v Compressor that plugged in to the GS auxiliary power outlet - anyone used such a device, any recommendations & where to get them from?

Thanks in advance

Steve

Touratech do one for about 60 quid and in IAM mags you can get cheaper version for 12 quid. The touratech one is more compact than the ones sold in Halfords

Hein Gericke also do one for about £18.98 with crocodile clips and socket adpater. Looks really weeny - hold in the palm of the and sort of size.

Part No. 29000071 (29000111 for the adapter cable)

Found it on their website, but pics not there at the mo.

Probably not the quickest thingsin the world, but if you need one of these I would think you're not to worried about that.

I bought one from Canadian Tire for about £7 a few years ago on the basis that when it stopped working, I'd throw it away.

It still works!

Argos or any decent motor shop will have one just the right size to go in a pannier, I have an Airman and its got integral 9.6 v nicads as well as 12 v input from the power socket. £19.00

Thanks for the replies, appreciated:)

The plug in Airman sounds good, will check it out later today.

Excellent idea.

Re: the snorkel - it's been done, there was a photo of an 11xxGS with snorkels fitted in a recent thread. If I can find it, I'll post a link.

Ricky's idea of screen height snorkels would cause severe induction roar where you least needed it I think....

Found it, look here:

Yes - also did a snorkel mod (not sure who did it first) but here are two more AdvR links that detail it with pics. I did not go for the extreme 'Landrover' snorkel at head height option! Mine exits just under cockpit and is completely out of sight, can be engaged as and when needed. See pics in thread.
