Dont have the hand book to hand and tried google but cant find anything . How do you adjust the headlight if you have that is for driving in europe .

Thanks

Newer Bikes have a flat light beam, there is no need to adjust them when going abroad or use adapters.

Still have a candle 🕯 in the Harley headlight so no problems 😊

I got my bike in Germany, never had an issue here apart from needing to adjust the spots. I think the comment on the flat beam is correct. I had a Volvo CC90 in Spain for a month, modern LED headlights on certain vehicles don’t need adjustment.

Easy enough to check, just point your bike towards a wall and check the top of the beam pattern to see if it is flat, or kicks up one side or the other.
Flat = no issues
Kick up on the right = Euro spec
ditto left = UK spec

Another check is to look at the arrow marker on the headlight glass - if it's double headed it's a symmetric (flat) dip. If it's a single headed arrow then it's an asymmetric dip and for UK vehicles it'll point to the right when viewed from the front.

See section 12 of the manual for full details.

Also the law in a lot of EU countries is to carry a bulb kit which is of no use to any vehicle fitted with full LED lights.🤔

Are you sure thats right?
Don`t you have to stand in front and look in a mirror over your left shoulder to prove its EU/right shoulder UK?

The requirement is there so I always carry.....

????? Sorry- No idea what you mean, it’s nowhere near as complicated at that.

The purpose of the kick up is to light up the footway for pedestrians… and they are on the nearside for UK vehicles in the UK..

Now put that same UK vehicle on the other side of the road as in that there Europe and the kick up( on the left side) will now light up(blind) oncoming vehicles as the footway is on the other side.

I searched the user manual this morning - couldn't find any adjustment for LHD / RHD
seems odd - its quite normal these days you do in the cluster and say which side of the road you want to ride on - and they swap

post#9 is correct - just face a wall - MOT guy does it every vehicle that comes in

Not sure why you find it odd. BMW bikes have had symmetric beam pattern since at least the first LC models and quite possibly before.

the lighting of the pavement area is a sensible safety idea for pedestrians and the rider - its why 99% of all vehicles in all markets had it - yes I was aware Opel halfwits left it out on the insignia with option xenon lights

wasn't aware BMW decided they liked to kill people.... disappointing

they had it on the k1600
