I had the same on all 3 if my GS' but after the 1st year once it's under their current financial trigger which IIRC is £20k and you're no longer eligible for a new replacement if it's stolen or written off then your premium will drop to a more biker friendly amountI currently ride a 1250GSA 2019, insurance, fully comp, is £178. I have bought a 1300GSA TE ASA, delivery 1st March. I have been looking at insurance quotes, the cheapest I have found so far is £673!! with Bennetts, £495!!! more than my current insurance! It's a piss take!
That's good news. Ill be insuring my new GSA in the morning, Couldn't do it before, As BMW say they can only get the registration 14 days before March 1st. Fingers crossed.Looks like insurance issue is ok now just insured mine online with bikesure starting March no problems and up from last years quote for 1600 bagger but not that bad

ASA was more expensive due to it being a new bike, I got a quote a few weeks ago for £722, that was down from £1600 in December, did it yesterday for March deliverymine can and it was £900, that must be the asa discount !
They like to rip you off with anything new sensing desperation!ASA was more expensive due to it being a new bike, I got a quote a few weeks ago for £722, that was down from £1600 in December, did it yesterday for March delivery
I’m inside M25 so it’s bearable, still 50% higher than my 1250 though
Just shows you. Bike sure were £762 for my GSA ASA. And they wanted a tracker fitted. £250 from bennetts in the endThey like to rip you off with anything new sensing desperation!
I got my GS (not asa) insured for £440 today with Bikesure, the staff I spoke to have been great, and adding 5 'mods' wasn't the ball ache I was expecting.
Devitt wanted to fleece me of £960 after getting a grand out of me this time last year when the 1300 was still a newish bike.
certainly worth shopping around and a phone call.Just shows you. Bike sure where £762 for my GSA ASA. And they wanted a tracker fitted. £250 from bennetts in the end![]()
I have and declared Granite Ground anchor and Oxford monster chain. In a brick built garage. They wasn't interested in the alarm and movement sensors with IR cameras. As long as it was brick built on my property.certainly worth shopping around and a phone call.
my Devitts quote was underwritten by ageas (your Bennetts underwriter), and they were very good based on when I had a car stolen in 2016, but Im not paying double.
No tracker declared on mine, my security is an Oxford anchorforce ground anchor and datatag, and two chains!
My insurance last year for my new 1300 was £532 got my renewal from Bennetts £762,it's a year older i was expecting it to be less plus the excess is £750 that's some increase !I had the same on all 3 if my GS' but after the 1st year once it's under their current financial trigger which IIRC is £20k and you're no longer eligible for a new replacement if it's stolen or written off then your premium will drop to a more biker friendly amount![]()
