I visited "the Doc", he's the Steptoe of the FJ world. This was in the summer, I watched it being done, but,

they waited until the engine was stone cold before doing the shims. Good on them for ensuring it was cold, but, the FJ gets very hot, wasn't cold for about 6 hours!!!
9 shims changed!! oil & filter, fork oil, (probably first time this was changed) air filter, and a once over.
Still pleased with it. Makes me wonder about progress though. My Diversion 900 which was apparently the bike to replace the FJ.
The Divvy has only one bulb in the rear light, the FJ has two. FJ has self cancelling indicators, Divvy doesn't. If only the FJ had been shaft drive
