Both are totally complete, have got to go and collect LOTS of spare parts as and when they get found:D

And YEs I do know

1.The slab work needs cleaning
2. The grass could probably do with a cut
3. The borders / plants are getting out of hand
4. My wheelbarrow is rusty:aidan

That's just plain greedy....:D...I have vague memories of riding one of them Yamaha,s as a young lad....

What, no mention of the DR650 in the background!

Liking them both, that Yam is the sort of thing I used to drool over in my yoof.

Both look in incredibly good condition.....

The Yam looks as though it needs nothing but new side panel and riding, the Trumpet could do with a good clean and then some riding. A great pair of bikes. :thumb

Ooooh... the Yamaha YR5 350..!
Did a lot of miles on one of those in 1972/3... commuting year round from Kent to W1.
Mine was the same orange/black colours with flat low bars.

My first trip abroad through France down to Barcelona on that bike, a big adventure at the time.
No channel tunnel/peage/credit cards/mobiles/recovery insurance then.
Throw-over panniers, maps in a tank bag and off you went.
It did get through spark plugs but, other than a flat battery near Port Bou, it was reliable, fast and fun...:thumb2

How I'd find it now I wonder... but nice to see a very straight one, even the stock exhausts.
Just needs a side panel and some TLC... :augie

That hosepipe is a trip hazard......

That's the least of my worriws

Both look in incredibly good condition.....

Yam has less than 8k on the clock, triumph last on the road in 1997 but both have been "looked after"

Side panel is there now (was in a box of bits), unfortunately both are going to have to wait 'til work dies down a bit:blast

I'm not in the least bit envious of that Yam at all, nope not one bit .................. :drool

The Triumph is outa tax ... hope this was taken in to the negotiating table

Good one Steve :thumb

:beerjug:

The YR5 was the first bike I had after passing my test in 1973,brings a tear to my eye......almost.

managed to finish work at 4:30 so................

thought I'd make a start on the Trumpet

tank off

Stuck a battery on her to check electrics, all o.k apart from no horn or brake light. Strong spark as well:bounce1

Stuck some fuel in a remote bottle and kicked her over

FUCK ME it started:eek::D
