2001 oilhead non starter

I have a 2001 R1150gs and after a 50 mile ride one day the bike will not start the next, she has a new battery, new plugs and the fuses are OK. the plugs smell like they are getting petrol on them. it turns over but will not fire up.
does anyone have ideas on what to check next?

Side stand switch?.

is there a clutch interlock ie plull cluch in or it wont start check kill switch too
is the fuel pump priming

Check the ignition to start with. Is there any spark?
If not it could be a Hall sensor fault.
