Does the "new" GS come with steel braided brake lines front and rear or is that yet another expense to go with the rest of the goodies im looking at
cheers for any help
if by "new" you mean the 1200 I have no idea. If you mean the 1150GS adventure, then it has at least front braided - I expect both are.
I can assure you there are plenty of things you might want to change - but unless you are Valentino Rossi brake upgrades will NOT figure in your list of things to do.
Isn't/wasn't there a recall on the GSA the rear braided hose was too short/ rubbing on the swingarm? Seem to recall... oops sorry... that there was something on this site about it.
It was explained to me last weekend that the rear brake hose was put on the wrong way round at the factory on some Advs. One banjo joint is at 90 degrees , the other at about 45.
The 90 degree end should be at the resevoir end (if this is wrong someone contradict me!).
If the 90 degree joint is at the swingarm end the line can foul the swingarm at max suspension. Most cases it just marks the arm, but brake line can rupture.
