Hi,

On the last ride out of last year the ABS solenoid valve unit packed up, I think its done better than most being almost 22 years old, so this winter I removed it and have gone to conventional braking. Hence I have had a fair few bits off the bike, and I blanked of the brake failure light which was flashing.

I now have the red triangle warning, with what looks like a light bulb on the lcd screen, I have tried to find out what this is indicating but drawn a blank, all the lights work and its just passed it MOT today, is this something that I have to put up with due to the removal of the ABS, or is it indicating something else. the wiring from the ABS has just been disconnected and is left hanging in thevoid under the tank, any advice would be greatly appreciated

Attached is pic of the LCD display, ignore the indicator I'd just left it on for some reason, this is working normally.

Is the little 5w bulb illuminated in the headlight,
I know it says it was mot'd but it's a teeny bulb...

just googled and I think it is the parking light so I should be able to easily check this ( I hope)

The "BMW GS 5W headlight" likely refers to a 5W parking/side light bulb used in many BMW GS motorcycles (such as R1200GS/F700GS models) as part of their 12V lighting system, often complementing a main 55W H7 halogen bulb. These are typically small glass bulbs, often designated as W5W or T10, used for visibility and identification

Ai interpretation
