2005 1150 left indicator switch problem

Last week my left hand indicator stopped working. All four work when I use hazards so I assume its a switch problem. Then I noticed this short thread http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php?t=283241 So is this a common problem ?

Mirrow of , screws out and prise apart ..........

Spray WD40 in making sure you hit the appropriate bit and and put unit back together and press indicator switch reapeatedly ....

I did this several times and it started working again , i then cleand it up and sprayed AC50 in to the unit and it appears to be fine , just insure you check it before you need it , but a few push's each trip seems to have sorted my problem ...

Or you could replace the micro switch , do a search there's a link to were someone purchased one from ............

I took the indicator microswitch apart (carefully) and bent the switch contacts back in shape - didnt make a proper contact any more. sprayed liberally with ac50 and closed it all up again.

Its been good for the last 2 years or so....

Or you could just spray WD40 on it because generaly thats all it takes and mines lasted 18mths .....
