Anyone offer me any clues as to a problem i have just started having. 1200gs struggled to start yesterday after work having been fine in the morning. Then this morning it seemed to struggle even more.:(

Just wondering if anyone has had similair porblems in the past

Give the battery a good charge. The colder weather seems to take it out of the battery. Also if you are only doing short runs 10 mile or less it appears that the power drained from startup is not put back into the battery.
I always keep mine on an optimate overnight when it gets colder weather.

Thanks for the reply mate. I do use the optimate at night time that is why i am a little concerned. I take the point about the colder weather though.

Cheers

Maybe the battery is on its way out then.
My battery gave up on me at work the other week,it had been sluggish in the morning,so I put it on the optimate over night and it has been fine since,so maybe yours has sucumb.People on here seem to rate the odessey battery,I do not know what a standard one costs but I have found a place on Ebay which does them for the 1200 at around £90.00 plus postage of £7.50

Thanks boys. I think it may well be the battery on its way out. I might drop a new one in and see if there is a:thumb2 difference.
