2006 GSA fuel pump

Hi I'm new here. I ride an R1200GSA 06 plate. Don't know if anyone else has had this problem: riding in London at the weekend in traffic and the engine just cut out as though I was out of fuel. Only just filled up.
Called AA and between us we worked through the usuals electrics, ECU, spark etc. Whittled it down to fuel pump I think. but not entirely sure.
Has anyone had similar prob or able to shed any light.....please

I'm approx 120miles from a BMW dealer with a diagnostics machine so hoping to sort it myself.

Have a look in the 1200 Hexhead section for fuel pump controller failures, it's a known issue and you may need a new controller.
