My laptop is away getting fixed so can't post anything.
Challenging day. Bike got through the three laps but frame is cracked from the crash I think. At one point i'd used the Autocom cable to keep the rear assembly holding on.
This is going to be a cleaning marathon.

I towed him back from the furthest part of the course was turning over but not firing. fuel or spark.

I couldn't believe it when I saw the picture of the guy on the CG125
Looks like he was using a road tyre at the front too 
He finished the rally as well.
His name's Peter Ansty from corshan. Hats off to him just for thinking of it.

Good event after a 2 year lay off from rallys + enduro's.

Hats off to the guys on the big Bikes as the off road got very slippy towards the end ,bad enough picking up a 450.

Just seen the results, very pleased with my performance as it was my first rally, i agree that guy on the cg 125 did really well, as well as the road tyre on the front he had one on the rear as well, i bet it was like ice skating on some of the grassy muddy sections, bring on the cambrian rally, anybody know the dates for the cambrian at all.

I had knobblies on but the treads were just getting clogged with mud.

Did you see the size of that bike? it was not much bigger than a monkey bike... I reckon he carried it under his arm.

I think he had trials tyres on the CG actually. Si Melber from Trail Bike Magazine tried to do the Tarenig rally last year on a C90, but he blew it up about a mile into the first lap!

I never got one decent stage in - too busy fixing the rear or searching for the bits I lost.
The guy riding the transalp was a real gent, kept stopping to help loads of people including myself. It's far better at the back where people assist one another then up with them ring ding a ding dings.

It was on this climb that i tried helping a guy on an old africa twin, but he managed to cook the clutch half way up. He must have been gutted at not getting around the first lap, but also looked quite relieved as he headed back to the road.
As i got approached this climb i have to confess my heart sank, something to do with the sight of bikes that littered the climb, complete with exhausted riders. However, the Xchallenge just cruised up! no problems finding grip, no wheel spin (unless you really put the effort in). The bike made it all look so easy...

Both Specials were excellent i thought! i preferred the second, longer stage to the first. As this part of the course was nice and open, with no trees you could see ahead a long way, and spot the guy that started prior to you. This really enticed the desire to hunt them down!! this part of the course was pretty much a track with small wheel ruts in it, as there were no real stoppers in it so to speak, you could really keep the throttle pinned!!.
The first test was also fun for the first 2 laps, but by the time i got there for the third lap the tracks up through the trees had become really chewed up and soggy. combining this with a near bald back tyre, ment the XC became a bit of a handful to the point i binned it about 100 yards from the finish. As i struggled to get the bike back up, the guy i'd just overtaken came past. i rekon he was just thinking "tortoise and hare"....

I had the full 28Ltrs of fuel on that bit they took out of the first stage and it was a nightmare getting up (thought I was going to cook my clutch too). There were bikes scattered all over the place. Somebody should have videoed it.
I think there was a guy at the top of the hill with a video camera.
28lts? It was only a 35 mile lap..how thirsty is your drz? I think i used around 15 lts on the XC....
