2008 GS AND WILBERS

I was on the verge of ordering some Wilbers Shocks from Every Accessory for my 56 12GS, when I decided to give the dealer some of my hard earned and trade up to the 08 12GS.

My question to you tossers is has anybody fitted Wilbers shocks to an 08 12GS. Are they the same as the 56/07, my dealer tells me the part numbers have changed on the standard shocks so he cannot be sure if they will fit, all to do with needing extra space for the ESA !!

I will ring Every Acc tomorrow see if they know, just wandered if anybody had already done it and could put my mind to rest.

Fitting will be very similar to the previous 1200's - cookie did a great 'HOWTO' a while back....

Only extra advice is to use a heat gun on the rear shock bottom bolt

excuse me for my ignorance, but what exactly is the advantage of fitting Wilbur shocks anyway?
