2008 GS - fuel gauge

Thought i read some posts that said the new '08 GS had an improved fuel gauge. My new '08GS only shows three positions. All bars showing, then jumps to 4 bars showing, then jumps to reserve. Nothing else.

My 10 year old K12RS fuel gauge although it shows full for the 1st 80 miles will then fall in a linear fashion does a good job of telling whats left in the tank. Has the fuel gauge dept at BMW Mottorrad gone backwards since then.

Fuel gauges on the 12 are useless in my experience, I ride it till the light comes on and ignore the gauge

Mine works

I got a 08 1200GS about a month ago and the fuel gauge works fine, going down gradually as it should do. Maybe I was just lucky!!!
