2008 GS the bling has beglun!

I like the direction that your heading with the bike. It does look nice. Is that a drain plug at the bottom of the rear drive ?

I don't like the black I liked the grey better.

Grey worked as well in fact it was my first choice, but in the end when I got the chance to see the bike from a distance black won the day.

It's hard to tell from the pictures but overall the black works best for me as it's a prefect match for the black finned barrels. Of course this is a personal opinion. :augie

looks great - black guards really suit it.
I see you kept the GSA luggage after all - regretting the sale of one akra shotgun system? :augie Cos I'm certainly not regretting the purchase :thumb2

Well when I changed back to a 1200 as the new bike I was kicking myself over selling some of the bits from the old one particularly the Akra, but when it came to finding a replacement the BOS in carbon seemed like a good option.

Hopefully I will find out in the near future. :D

Looking good, mate. Also looking forward to trying out the screen/footpegs/seat/extra power....................:D

Looking good indeed :thumb2

Is that a higher/lower seat? Is it the suede material?

Looking at your new bike and the amount of cash and time you have clearly spent and the type of accessories you have fitted would it not have made more sense to simply buy the adventure?............sorry to be picky - just a thought.......

Bike realy looks great.:thumb2
The covers for the svingarm pivot (GS logo), where did you get these?

Jon

Most of the bits I've fitted came from my last bike, I seriously considered the gsa but I personally prefer the GS as it's lighter and shorter in seat height, unlike some I'm not trying to turn a GS into a GSA, I prefer it for what it is. :thumb

Another question if I may Mr Thunder............I note that there is a little 'spoiler' mounted underneath the headlights just above the oil cooler that I notice the 08 bikes have fitted - do you know if it comes off and could it be fitted to the earlier bikes?

Thank you

It's secured with a bolt at each end through what feels like a mounting point through the new subrame.

All the panels and mounting frames seem to be new so I'm not sure if it would fit the previous versions :nenau

looks great

nice looking peice of kit, not that your last one didn't look ace as well. Why did you change? Mileage? Like the colour but also wonder why you didn't just go for an adventure. Where did you purchase? Scotland? Health to ride.

I refer the honorable gentlemen to my anwser to the house in post 53 of this thread.

I changed to add certain features not previously available, take advantage of the new engine, and styling.

Dealt with the chaps and chappesses in Motorrad Central West in Glasgow. :thumb
