Can't even afford the fuel to go on a run on it

went with my mate to vines yesterday to pick up his new GSA
i have learned a hell of a lot from like minded tossers bout things that can go wrong
you know all the usual seals ews etc
but i have never read about loads of problems with the starter motors
but this bit is wrong
IMHO this cost / saving what ever excersize is wrong
it simply looks like during the build MBW forgot to fit it
it looks SHIT - side by side with mine it looks very wrong
HOW many GS's have been sold ???????????
how many have the covers on ??????????????
then all of a sudden somebody said
Hey lets leave the cover off cos all the 100,000 previous we've just sold we made a terrible problem and should never have fitted it - yea
can any one who knows anyone with in BMW find out the real reason why and post please

My guess would be it`s a cost saver. The cover probably doesn`t do anything at all and given the saving`s which I`m guessing run into many 1000`s or euro`s, the boys from beemer decided it`s the way to go.

Everyone other car/truck/bike maker does it on a regular basis to keep costs to a minimum.

Personally, I couldn`t give a flying f*ck because it`s there to ride, not to look at

My 2 penneth
