I've just had a quote for a 12,000 mile service on my year old twin cam.
£360 including brake fluid change.
"No...forget the brake fluid" I said, I don't use the brakes! So it's now £311.
My last 12,000 service on my old 08 GSA was only £205, ok that was in 2009, but feck me, they only charged me £200 for the 6,000 service in August last year.
"Oh that's because the oil has gone up, so have the parts, then there's the extra VAT, the pound against the Euro, don't forget the 4 spark plugs and the air filter..blah blah then BMW's added tax for being a Tosser"
4 frikkin sparky plugs and two cylinders...HELLO.
Funny how the "old engine" doesn't need the plugs replacing till 24,000, but the twin cam @ 12,000 and £34 plus vat! How the feck does that work?
I felt sorry for them and offered to pay more.....
Does the team think this excessive or normal, or are the dealers all robbin barstewards!
