Hey guys, I have tried 32/36 yesterday and it seems much, much better !
I may try taking it up to the 36/42 and see what that is like today. I also took the GSA on to a really long straight near the house here yesterday and really gave it some beans, and OMFG the thing flies!!!! It got to being like a video game. Very nice...
Before i got the bike I expected the engine to be "boxer-ish" if you know what I mean?, but the twin spark seems to take all of this out of the equation?, it runs beautifully and also has no sound on the over-run at all. I love it.
As a last thing, the guy that I bought it from had also fitted a mod, which I couldn't quite work out from the photos on his advert, but he has disposed of the rear can completely and the exhaust is now a small, slash cut, chrome tip fitting directly on to the collector box under the engine (it is a simple bolt on jobby) that someone of my age can remember that we would have put on to a Mk2 Cortina! The idea maybe doesn't sound good, but it sounds superb, deep enough to be nice, and not that loud so as to attract the attention of her majesty's finest (or the equivalent here in Italia).
If anyone wants a pic to pinch the idea, just shout!
