2010 model heated grips

does anybody know if on my 2010 R1200GS model, should there be a display in the info panel when the heated grips are on? it says so in the handbook but i have no icon in the panel?
is it only on some models or for different markets?

Yep, you're right.

Shows a computer symbol in my handbook but not on the display on the bike.

There is an icon on the display on the K1300 bikes and also on the new 1200 RT so they probably couldn't be arsed to change it in the GS (A) handbook!

As the K1300 has the new style switches - i.e. push latch switch for the heated grips it is difficult from a visual perspective to ascertain if the grips are on or off - so I suspect the reason for the display.

Am I correct in thinking that the new style switch gear was to be used on the GS - if so this is probably the reason why the display has the icon.

As it uses the old switch gear then icon not used - but you can get your life when the old switch gear is used up then perhaps there will be a change.

i.e. 2010 model v2.

your right, the warm hands should tell me the grips are on!, in any case i would not be able to see the icon with the sat nav in the way!!
it was just an excuse to prove that the kruats are not always right!!! 3 1, 3 1, 3 1 !!!!!
