The 12/2010 float

The 01/2011 float

looking at real oem, 01/10 onwards was float for the GS, but the risk is early ones may be cross over level parts

late 2010 on all appear to be float

get the vin of the bike and ask the parts desk to look it up and see

The curve ball is that the float assy has been used since 2006, but not on all model years ./ model types

The bike Im looking at is a private sale
Is there any way to tell if its a float by looking ... or sloshing the fuel around in the tank and listening for the float moving around ?

Is the level sensor not just two wires for the float type and four wires for the film type?

My 2010 twin cam has a float..if you/the seller can open the fuel cap and unscrew the red plastic fitting (easy job!) inside you can see the float attached.
