What was the problem? GPS not working again. Perhaps the whole degree minutes seconds madness. It wasn't sign posted nor was the wicklow one. But you can always call into a house especially if it lloks like you have to drive your bike over a mountain, or a bog. I thought it was one of the better ones purely because (in the word of Dougal) it was MAD!!!! a bit like meeself. Only wish I was twisted enough to be out of work driving a digger!!!!!

day 3

Did Wickla (again) on Friday cos I had to show some numpty where it was

And then did 9. Dublin / Kildare on Sunday with the Big Ballix :

4 days and 1,700KM

Weather was great for most of this week so made the most of it.

Day 1: Headed west and picked up

24 the Mausoleum at Monavea

Then southwest to Fanore for

14 the Killonaghan Church Ruin

Before heading Southeast to slum it in Adare Manor. After two nights of tranquility with SWIMBO I headed South to

15 The Castle Gates at Glin

Then down to the deepest depths of the Dingle Peninsula for

19 The South Pole Inn

and then back up for one more night of luxury at Adare Manor.

The following day was north to Donegal town for a wedding, taking a wee detour to Achill Henge. Three thoughts struck me. One, it took some audacity to pull it off. Two, I am missing the point of destroying the "commons" to make a protest to the "elite". Three, ignoring everything else, it is an ugly piece of crap with the mass concrete aesthetics of the worst 1970's architecture that I hoped we had left behind for good. Rather than dismantle it now they should bury it as a present for future generations!

20 Achill Henge (that's not dust on the lens, it is the shadow from a spaceship)
The track up was handy enough on knobblies in the dry. Other circumstances could be a challenge.

After a wee bit of partying in Donegal it was time to head home by a meandering route picking up

and finally

Arrived home knackered with a big grin on my face. 1,700 KMs, 8 tanks of fuel, and a rear TKC80 that was brand new at the start of the week looking like it has one or maybe two days of abuse left in it (yes, yes, I know you can make them last longer, but where would the fun be in doing that).

If Carlsberg did weeks...

Great trip Robert, high quality photos, wasnt a camera phone like my Note3 for sure, you were lucky with the weather, best Easter I remember in an age, only started raining here yesterday evening
