2016 R1200GS Adventure

Its Ocean Blue kind sir

Ahh, they call it frozen blue on the S1000 R semi naked thing. :thumby:

Saw one last Saturday next to a green, both ready to go out ... and preferred the blue by a country mile.

Back after a break Just ordered a red one

Saw that Matt Red colour at Garmisch and thought it looked nice.

Still prefer my Matt blue 14/15 GSA. Am sure in the future that it will be known as the "classic" blue model. :D

They look great.
BMW's current low financing certainly helps. Fancy a new GSA now as well.

Just picked up my new 2016 R1200GS Adventure TE. I love it and surprisingly it's quite s lot different from my 2011 bike. Engine is smoother, feels a little lighter, although no complaints about 2011 adventure weight and agile handling, and active suspension is great...

Congratulations Elephant and coming from a 2012 to a 2014 I concur. In my case the 2014 is *much* smoother, noticeably lighter steering, better suspension, brakes, better mpg, and practically zero oil consumption. Cruise control is a real benefit too.

"Here's a thought"....What do you do if you scratch the paint on a matt finish bike.....If it's a gloss you can sometimes polish it out BUT a matt, polish that and you end up with a shiny patch

I've had a 2011 In magnesium Matt and a 2003 in a Matt grey graphitan. You're right you can't polish but the paintwork on both was fine. Will prob stick some venture shield on tank though, as I did with 2011 bike.

Coming upto 500 miles anyone else got a whistling noise and no pro gear shift but usual clunky box but it does sound if something is loose ahh well will see after 1 st service

Just had 6K service and it can now find neutral from first gear. There was a software update - something to do with the gear change - and it feels a lot better. PR4 trail tyres on, can't tell an immediate difference compared to Anakee 3 but the annoying rumble has gone and been replaced with a higher pitch whine. We'll see in the wet.

I had issues with quick shift on my 2015 bike coming down box, adjusted and software update last Friday at NOG, a very big improvement :)

I know some folk say they don't notice it but the rumble from the OE Anakee 3s was awful on my 2014 GSA and I'm delighted to be rid of them.
Slick Nick.

finn, any chance of a general picture of the the rear of your bike so I can gauge the size of the top box?

Any better
