My rear brake pedal does not return. When it’s pushed down the brakes work fine but the pedal stays down. I took the calliper apart and one of the pistons is sticking. When I pull the pedal up the brakes release in full. Any advice very welcome!

The pedal should return wether the caliper is iffy or not. Either a broken return spring on your pedal or the shaft the pedal is on needs cleaning and lubing.

I bent my brake pedal right back off roading it this year. Bent it straight back and is good again. I did notice how easy it is to removed, clean and lubricate, ......

this happened to my rear brake pedal a couple of years ago.
there is quite a simple remedy.
you just have to remove the pedal and scrape off all the gunk that has collected. when you remove it, you will see how the gunk has hardened that it actually looks like a spacer. this is not the case, just clean it off, be reasonably gentle and grease/lube it before replacing.
this is part of my annual servicing now, (the only thing I really do myself)
it is not difficult to remove, couple of bolts/screws.

I've just bent mine offroading too - any tips on how to straighten? It's the foldable enduro pedal for reference. TIA!
