2024 Himalayan 450

So who’s actually bit the bullet, made progress, tested the water and ordered one ?

Great bike but not as good as my Tuareg and not as charming as the 411 so it's a no from me . nice bike though and defiantly worthy of a test ride .could be a possible do it all bike for the future I think it will be a "grower" for me. performance mode is impressive the bottom end less so. I think the 411 is a better chugger at the bottom end

not sure why the clocks looked so basic but they did
Interesting colour scheme, especially the seat. Is that the Slate Himalayan Salt?

On another note, I'm told by the dealer I'm likely to buy from, that there will be no TL models until later this year? :nenau

yes Himalayan salt comes with flashes of colour on the wheels too. personally I wouldn't wait for the tubeless as im guessing they will be available to buy separately for a fair price if their other spares prices are anything to go by . its a great bike for sure :thumb

Was it the light in the pic or did the seat have a contrasting panel down the middle?

Let's hope it's not a true representation of Himalayan salt as you might find yourself fighting off any local live stock trying to lick the pink bits on your bike..

Thanks Arsey for an excellent review. I also thought the side-stand lean was a bit extreme. Talked to the dealer (here in De, Nauheim) and he confirmed many such opinions from test rides. I wrote to RE. They are looking into it.
I was deeply sceptical about the brake light integration into the indicators. After following my buddy test riding the 450 here on a sunny day, I would agree its a non-issue. The rear, stop lights and indicators (turn signals) are all way brighter and easy to spot than on many other normal bikes that we passed.

Do these fit on the Himmy 450 front crash bars ?

Those that’s 2 of us then. What colour ? Himalayan salt ?
Mines not due till November ish.
Anybody else ordered one ?
Yes. I'm now a ...

It was a cancelled order. The purchaser changed to a black/gold. I rather like the gloss grey. Nor am I that fussed about TL tyres. I never had a puncture on my 411 and in fact the only puncure I've ever had (in >50 years of riding) was on my 12RT which had ... :D!

We filmed the Himi 450 last week but the footage didnt work out so just been again this morning and took it out again

Had a bit more time and was able to concentrate more on the Bike than stressing over filming (a day of it is quite intense)
What a cracking machine this is, it should be in the running for bike of the year, it is everything you need for modern road condidtions (the old Himi wasnt) I even saw 90 on the clock at one point (on the private road I have access to)
Handling is brilliant, power is totally sufficiant and plenty for a bit of fun, fit and finish top notch
Only bit I found a bit lacking was the front brake (but not seriously so)

Our video will be out soon will post here
