They were fine on my 411. Not so sure about the new one but can't see any reason why not.Do these fit on the Himmy 450 front crash bars ?
The Kharzi brown (the colour of the bike I rode) is an off white, almost creamy colour. It looks better in the flesh than it does in the press release pictures.

Seems all RE's suffer from slightly weak front brakes (adequate, though) fitting EBC sintered pads does really help a lot with a noticeable difference in the 'bite'
That was certainly true of the 411.
The 450 I rode, I was the first on it, with six miles I think it was on the clock, had a very decent front brake, straight out of the box, or so it seemed to me. One thing about both bikes, is the good rear brake, for slow speed stuff.
Looking forward to EKIMYRF’s video, one of the very few ‘channels’ I watch.

Dealer called today ... "Just touching base. Bike arrived today. We've a bunch to PDI but will get yours out to you asap." I don't think I'd I'd have got that level of service mmm ... "elsewhere."

I just wanted to put up a post as I have had a lot of people messaging me about delivery times on 450 Himalayans & I have also seen a lot of poor information being posted online.
Yesterday we had an official bulletin sent to us from Royal Enfield which all UK dealers would have received…
I’m not going to bore everyone with the whole email but I will pop below some of the headline facts.
Production has been confirmed to start in May 2024 for the Hanle Black Tubeless [for all markets, including India] and will come with the originally planned Gold Rims.
Confirmed allocation for the UK will be made known in next 10 - 14 working days.
Bikes are expected to start arriving into the UK late June / early July & will be arriving in order of customer deposits.
All Hanle Black Tubeless backorders are expected to be fulfilled by August.
I know this is a little later than we all wanted however, I think we can take that the Tubeless Gold Wheels are going to look the dogs testicles
All other colours excluding Kamet White (we expect to see these in the coming weeks) are now coming through in good numbers.
Hope this gives everyone a little bit more of an understanding as to whats happening.
If anyone has any negative comments please feel free to keep them to yourself.

Went to my dealer this morning as Shotgun having first service .
They have indeed received email and I should now get my Hanle Black complete with gold rims around July .

So…….I might take my 450 to Picos in September instead of GP. The jury is out .
But if I do , I’ll change the OE Ceat tyres for something a bit more offroady to ride some of the trails .
Was thinking something along the lines of TKC70.
Needs to be at least 50/50 with a bias towards road as I’ll be riding back through France .
Never had anything more offroad biased than TKC70s except on KTM EXCs.
Sizes are
90/90-21
149/80-17

Not sure I can get that in the 450’s size , as rear is a 140/80-17.
Think it used to be a 120 section ?
Dunlop only lists a Trailmax Raid and D404 in that size.
Had a look on Black Circles and it seems I can get
TKC70
TKC70 Rocks
Karoo 4s
Or the good old Pirelli Scorpion Rally STRs.
I’ve had the STRs on many bikes but I’m guessing the TKC would be more off-road biased , especially the Rocks rear, and the Karoo4s even more so.
So possibly the TKC70 front and TKC70 Rocks rear would be a good bet ?

Just seen that Conti list them as 60/40 on/off-road bias so about perfect
They only come in tubeless too !

TKC80s on my MK1 Himmie were surprisingly good on tarmac. I never used them off road but they are well rated by those who do.
Personally I like the Mitas E07+ (not the Dakar version) which have now been renamed the ENDURO TRAIL+ Gives really good road handling on my 701 and should be more than up for any light off roading you would do in the Picos.
