I think the Himmie would suit me better, CF Moto seat will be too low for me and I’d have to be able to raise the Himmie seat too. Then it would have to accommodate my big feet

I’m so impressed with the Himalayan that I’m thinking of offing my 1250. Every time I sit on it I smile.
It’s close on a 500km tank range. Having said all of that it’s only been 2 weeks but I’m well impressed

For the money it costs, it is certainly a very good motorcycle. You could probably sell the 1250 (the GS version of the bike I never liked *) and have some useful cash in your pocket.
* Most particularly the engine. That said, I liked it in the RT. Funny old world.
I don’t watch many Vblog things (only really Lemon Drizzle’s offerings) but I quite like this bod’s things.

Took my Himmy for a spin yesterday. First time I’ve ridden it since Spain trip in September. I’d forgotten how brilliant it is . The fuelling is just perfect . The bike is definitely better then the sum of its parts and interesting that Chris Northover in the video above slightly prefers it to the CF Moto even though he’s a bit of a hooligan at heart , albeit a very competent rider both on and off road and a qualified design engineer and experienced journalist.

As a point of interest I took the 450 Guerrilla out last saturday for a few hours and have a video in production, lovely bike (lower geared and fun) but I would take the Himi over it every time ... damn just given my conclusions away
Thank you for the MCN review, I think it sums the bike up very well. For me, an on-road rider, over usually longer distances, the weight per-se is not an issue, not least as I also have a 1600 which is definitely heavy. Is it a better bike than my 411 Himalayan? Yes, in as much as it has a little bit more ‘umph’ about it. That said, once you got used to the 411’s lack of power above say 65 mph, it was fine.
I thought it was a good review. Was having second thoughts about the MT450 I've got on order until I went to the dealers and did a side by side comparison. I think I just about prefer the look of the Himalayan, just. However I was won over by the way the MT carries its weight. It feels incredibly light compared to the Himy. As a road bike, who cares. After all, with weight comes comfort, usually. As a mud-bath bike, I think the MT will be a shed load easier to live with. Will the KTM 390 R have the beating of the MT? Guess we'll find out soon enough but that's a different section.

I’m getting 75/80 mpg locally and on our 1500 mile Picos trip I averaged 71mpg and that included caning it around the Picos, off-roading and some autoroute/dual carriage ways sat at 75/80 mph.

I dont have mine anymore but he must have been doing 90mph everywhere and have his foot on the back brake, I used to get 70-80mpg even hooning about, I didn't get any false neutrals either it is a lovely gearbox. He is wrong about the screen too, it's OK nothing more.
It's outrageous.....200 miles off a tank but when I wring the bells off it the fuel economy drops. What are the Royals thinking?! 
I put that comment in the same pile as bods (an odd on this forum) who claim to get 8,000 miles out of the tyres on a 1600.
