2024 Himalayan 450

The black / yellow combination (a sort of rip-off from the BMW anniversary colours) looks good with the gold wheels.

I haven’t seen a bad review or overly negative comments from any independent sources yet.

The only negative comment so far is the position of the air filter in a hump under the tank. Makes it a bit of a bind when replacing. Otoh for serious off road riding, it's well out of the way of running water when fording and service intervals make it a nuisance rather than a serious flaw. In engineering design, everything is a trade off.

I can see this bike becoming the weapon of choice for serious overlanders. Especially if aftermarket bits help to bring the weight down.

There are a number of quite good videos from the same source. I also like the Indian vblogs, so much better than the English “Ay up” and “Hi guys” stuff.

PS Who knew that the saree guards are mandatory in India?

He’s right about the cruising speed of the 411. I would put it at about 60 to 65 as shown on a GPS device. To get it above that needs a calendar. But, it’s not pretending to be a sports bike.

Pulling no punches …..

Interestingly ( right at the end of the video) when he pops it on the side stand to show the lighting, the engine keeps running? Is it just me but the majority of my bikes cut out with the side stand down?

When put in gear they do, most run with the stand down I thought

Never had a bike cut out with side stand down in Neutral.
Old Positive Pulling never says anything negative about a bike .

The ‘off road’ test at 15 minutes in is hilarious. I could have ridden my Rune down there

I have had some bods on Wanders, moaning about broken road surfaces in Belgium. Them on their Adventure (with a capital A) bikes, me on an HP4. Funny old world.

Nothing gets past 'quicker than lightning' Mark Pulling. After an hour with the bike he finally noticed it has no rear brake light and that its integrated into the indicators. He is everything that is bad about youTube reviewers. Boring, uninformative, tedious and very unoriginal.

Brakes-5 stars
Engine-5 stars
Slow speed-5 stars
High speed-5 stars.

I can’t recall Mark Pulling ever giving anything but 5 stars to all aspects of every bike he’s ever reviewed

YouTube’s great for Yarkshire men as they can talk and not listen, plus when they edit the vlog all they hear is their own dulcet tones 🤣🤣🤣. Ill close the door on my way out.

Now Stu Fillingham theres a voice to listen too when burying the dead!
