First dibs in Month
I typed similar yesterday but thought my version was a bit crass....:D

Beautiful bike Arsey, lovely thing for going out for the odd hour or four and sucking up that engine sound.

I went tò Farnborough yesterday to see one in the flesh. They really are lovely things.

They had a Heritage XSR 900 in a similar red and white scheme - that looked great too. I think Yamaha are way more creative and interesting than the other big 3 Japanese brands at the moment.

Did 75 miles on one yesterday, lovely bike but gosh it was uncomfortable.

Shame because it looks stunning in the flesh.

They certainly are and more daring/better executed than the other 3 (Suzuki new VStroms look good though)
Like the late 1970’s and early to mid 1980’s - Yamaha are making some excellent bikes and leading the way

It's a lovely thing, wish it was a two stroke, but then I wish I was 40 years younger - neither are happening.

Fab'...

Collected it this afternoon after getting back from trip on Wing .

Only done 20 miles but it’s great . Seat feels taller than I remember . Can only just flat foot and in 6’1” with 34” inside leg.

Bars feel quite sporty but I’ve just done 2500 miles on Wing so it’s a tad different . Feels very light and flickable .Will ride it more next few days but after 10 days on the Wing it’s like going from the ridiculous to the sublime . Or is it the other way around ?

Downloaded Garmin StreetCross tonight and it connected easily to the bike via MyRide.

Don’t think it’s as functional as Motorize that works with the Tracer GT+ etc BUT I never got Motorize to work with iPhone 15 as it needs setting up via a USB cable .
Motorize also requires a subscription.

StreetCross is free and is all done via Bluetooth via My Ride app.

Very easy to set up without referring to reems of bollocks in the manual .

It’s not the biggest screen

But you can save Home and Work addresses and route to them at touch of button on bike .

You can also plan and save routes on the Street Cross app .

Not as flexible as MyRoute but it’s free and integrated into the bike .

Will be fine for simple routes .
