Trying my camping setup, I've never 'motocamped' but an opportunity has arisen for a couple of days lanes riding in the Peaks so seems like a low risk way to try it out. I purchased the tent when I had my previous Tiger 900 where weight wasn't really an issue, so I'd really like to get a smaller and lighter tent (the one on it is a Berghaus Cairngorm 3 man tent which is lovely, but a bit big).
I've changed the KTM satnav mount to be a NiceCNC (Chinese) mount as it's a little higher so I can mount my Samsung Active Tab 2 on it. Slightly unsure of having that weight up high, bit will give it a go, and good for roadbooking if I do some more Rallymoto events. I previously had the phone where the satnav is, although I've ruined the phones autofocus now due to vibrations (I do have the quadlock vibration mount, but couldn't use it with the phone in this position, it's now back on the mount with it mounted on the handlebars).
I've also used the ACC2 switched live connector under the right hand side of the fairing to add a couple of USB ports, and run a cable from that to the relocated quadlock on the handlebars.
I'm going laning in the Peaks tomorrow, be good to have a big OS maps view ahead of me.
I have never motocamped, but a really simple option arose of camping in Derbyshire with some trail riding thrown in. Bikes ready.
