Thanks for the suggestions for service; I have just had my GS serviced at RGM. I have never used an independent before but I will be doing from now on. 24 th + annual service including changing rear brake pads and all brake fluid as the BMW maintenance schedule and genuine parts came to just under £190.00 all in. Its nice to see a true BMW pro at work, yes “See” as you can stay and watch if you want, (most un-usual) 10 out of 10 thanks.
The second suggestion !! Well it took 4 phone calls and they couldn’t make up there mind how much the service cost, or what service I wanted. Finally they came up with a price that could pay off third world debt. So much for the dealer in Southport.
:)

25k Service

Now that's a good price. If I'd being paying as little as that I'd never have bothered doing my own servicing.

Good find. :)

Ye I think so, The place was full of BM's, a good number from over 80-100 miles away.

did that imclude changing the fuel flter ?, a 24k service item, if it did thats a very good price.

no, cos I asked for it not to be changed as I had a fuel leak 1800 ish miles ago and it was changed then. Other prices I have been quoted where from £298 not including brake fluid change to aprox £380 but they would not be held at that price.( no points for gussing where that was)

Nope ... where was it?

Goodness... you really do seem to have it in for Southport Superbikes... not a disgruntled ex-employee are you?

I have been going to Superbikes for years and have never had a problem with the servicing ... and thats what counts in the end.

Does RGM have a Motronic unit? can't see how he could cope without one ... and what about a GT1? ... never gonna work on any of the new stuff is he?

Cheap service that though ... £190 you say ... ... ... nope ... think I'll stick to the professionals...

:D

I don’t have it in for Southport at all, I just don’t like the way some dealers do business. If you read the past posting you will see I am not alone or are Roger Walton & Terry Ryan disgruntled ex-employee’s also ????

The only service item that can not be done at RGM is bleed testing on the servo ABS and this was made crystal clear when I booked my bike in.

Think you ought to add motronic fault readout as well Len. Having known Roy a few years i'd be very surprised if he'd got a moditech unit let alone a gt1 tester. You cannot get either of these unless you are a franchised dealer!!!

:D

i haven't got one , can't say its had any effect my standards of servicing - they also give false readouts, then it's back to the tried and trusted professional methods .
:D :D
