26+6=1. Or 2, depending. Alternatively: In search of a Hufflepuff.

We've a long day ahead of us heading to, then round the Beara Peninsula via Dunmanway so we agreed to be away by 08:30.
As I type this we're still in Clonakilty about to try and find somewhere Phil can get some electrical component spray for the temperamental Himmy.
No matter, the sun is shining and I'm in Ireland.
I've had some lovely black pudding brought back for me from Clonakilty 😋

Next stop Dursey cable car. I've done it before, Phil wasn't bothered about doing it this time so we sat awhile and enjoyed the view.
I had a burger from the little van here, highly recommended and considering the captive audience reasonable value at €5. If you have one just ask them not to smother it in mayonnaise and ketchup like they did mine. :barf

There are a few passes across the island which you won't do if you do the WAW or The Ring of Bearra. I was keen to investigate these, Phil less so so he's heading direct from here to our digs.
I"m currently about to stat Healy's Pass having gone tye coastal route to Eyeries then crossed to Castletownbere.

The road to Eyeries from the cable car is glorious.

West Cork wagyu in those burgers!
The monkfish and chips from that wee caravan is my choice. The same vendor has a stall in Allihies in the evenings.

Well The Healy Pass didn't disappoint. If you're down this way doing The WAW make sure you add this into your route, it will add less than an hour to do it both ways and it would be a crime not to.

Edit: N.B. The spotlights are playing up on the Himmy again but Phil has unleashed his 'Devil may care' attitude and left the cover off.
