Dear all sorry it has taken so long for my photos to appear, a combination of working away and an inability to reduce the size of the damn things!!
We had a cracking time however I don’t recall any snoring noises although I did awake in the night sometimes to find that all the spare pillows in the room were at the side of my bed, maybe they ricocheted off something
Many of my pics mirror Jeremy’s but I thought these may be of interest

Jeremy doing his impression of Cecil B De Mille on Inch Beach, unfortunately he was too slow to capture the earlier action (my sole reason for picking the bike back up so fast

)
Dingle was a really good stop and after dinner at Out of The Blue we went for a walk finding this little gem.

Following breakfast we went out via the Connor Pass. This was the view and it speaks for itself.

Crossed the Shannon on the ferry and stayed that night at Dolphin Beach. It’s a little way out from Clifden along the coast and all the better for it. This was the view of the town nestling in the hills as we returned the following morning.

Stopping in Donegal we found the town square dominated by Gold Wings, something to do with 25th Anniversary Run, so I insisted we park and get a photo of some real bikes.

Went for sarnie and returned ten minutes later to find the place empty. No stamina that lot!
Stayed at the legendary Green Gate, what a welcome from Paul, followed by the best evening so far in Nancy’s Bar. We eventually got back having successfully negotiated the hairpin mentioned by Geoff Hill for a second time, on the bikes earlier, sober, this time on foot, not so sober. Don’t know what Jeremy’s problem was that night I never heard a thing and slept like a baby
The following day we were off to Colraine and stopped at Malin Head. Any hint of Nancy’s was blown away for good up there.

Stayed with Jeremy’s family who spoiled us rotten and then on to the Antrim Coast road, Belfast and Scotland.
It was a fair run to Adrishaig, not helped by all the specs cameras on the A77. Nice place and if you have time the Loch Fyne Oyster Bar is at the top near Clachan.
Over the sea to Skye the following day then up and over to Applecross where Jeremy was dreaming of the Bealach Na Ba or Nam Bo (Pass of the Cattle).

I read about this road on this site and it is a must road for all no matter how far the detour.
The view up Glen Torridon the following morning was special.

Cold, crisp air with wall to wall sun. Some said we were lucky with the weather others just said the devil looks after his own but whatever it was I was not expecting it to be this good.
Jeremy has covered the rest of the trip fully and with good photos, Bike has nearly 6,000 mls on it and feels properly run in now. The only problem I had was a strong backfire near Pembroke Dock when I started the bike up. It went really rough and I quickly found that the throttle body had been blown back out of the rubber sleeve connecting it to the cylinder head. I suspect that this may have been caused by turning the ignition on and of several times without starting the engine in order to look at the mapping software on my pocket PC. Maybe it squirted a bit of fuel that caught when I finally started it up. Having worked out how to undo the clip the body went back in easily but the clip required judicious use of Jeremy’s leatherman, a screwdriver and a smattering of obscenities.
We had a cracking time and I can’t wait for the next one.
Cheers
Peter.
