First European adventure on two wheels..

Not a bad idea if traveling solo (y)

also ensure the back page in a passport is kept up to date. My son is moving later this month so I will need to add a sticky label over the current entry before I go to Spain next month.
If you are in the hands of emergency services, they are likely to look at your passport as a first protocol to identify you and next of kin. Next thing they will check is emergency details in a phone where you can store emergency contacts and medical info.

Take a piece of paper and on it, write your key contact information down. Wife phone number, recovery number, insurance number (along with the policy numbers) and whatever else you might need then "laminate" the paper with some sellotape (I put mine on a piece of cardboard to keep it straight). This way, if your phone breaks/dies, you can at least call those via a pay phone / borrowing a hotel phone etc.
Absolutely spot on.. Apple call it ICE .. In Case of Emergency. All those details and more. I have one in my jacket one stuck to the inside lid of my top box and if the chaps you are riding with are "good mates" they all get one too. :)
