Just finished 7 day routes for trip to France in a couple of weeks.

Created routes in MyRoutes app and transferred them to the XT. Used the Trip app to import them and made a coffee. When I came back I found what I thought were duplicates of the Tuesday and Wednesday routes. Deleted them and transferred the originals back to XT.
I was present during the import and was surprised at the "Route contains more than 29 waypoints, route will be split"

Anyone else had this message? 29 doesn't seem that many waypoints on a 200 mile back roads route.

Presuming this is a Garmin and not a Myroute issue.

200 miles with 29 waypoints is one roughly every seven miles. That is one hell of a lot of waypoints. Change some of the waypoints into shaping points, which you can do within the XT itself or, more easily, within MyRoute. Or break the route into say, two 100 mile segments, each with say 16 waypoints.

Am I correct in assuming that I click on the route next to a waypoint and the "Waypoint added" is a shaping point and then delete the original waypoint?
