I tried one of these a few years ago as I was thinking of getting one. What put me off was the fact that you have to remove the sump guard as it won't fit a GS/GSA with the sump guard in place. That also meant that I lost the engine bars too, so I decided against it & just stuck with a y-piece & Remus. Totally different situation with an R1150R, though...

Laser Exhaust for R1150R

I took this off my R1150R. Now having a clear out of the Garage and putting it on Ebay so giving it a bump here first. It a full system for an 1150 front pipes, centre section and rear box. Described as a Laser Duo tech 2-1system on laser Exhaust System website. see for sale section too as I think that's where I supposed to put this!

Its the only full system available for the 1150 and over 1K when new. It took me 5 years to track down a cheap(ish) one on Ebay. I ran one for about a year. It's the nicest most obnoxious possible sound that an 1150 can produce. Ultimately I went back to a Remus Y Piece and race can setup but if power and noise are your thing this is the system for you. Rare and amazing. At some point I'll re-fit mine Good luck.

Thanks Dr Alf. I'll now renew my subscription (having been a procrastinating tosser) and put it on items for sale. I knew they were rare so I may be lucky and find someone looking. Mine came off my 2005 R1150R and I am unsure whether it would be a straight fitment on the 1150GS?

Yep it'll fit an 1150GS or Rockster for that matter. R1150GS will need the bash plate to be removed and may encounter centre stand issues - although mine just cleared it when fitted with R1150R footpegs. Not sure about 1150GS footpegs though. Centre stand could be modified if required. Makes the bike sound like a proper Messerschmitt

Thanks again Dr Alf. That's really good to know it goes on the GS as that will broaden its appeal. I just paid up via paypal (and I feel like an honest Tosser) and so I have put it in the for sale section.
