33 Miles from New And Filthy!

Just collected my new R12GS and must say I am very happy with the Lupin Blue , just my kind of blue, even if not my kinda name!

After chopping in my F8GS for the bike I should have bought first time around it's pleasing to say I got there eventually.

The 12 feels so relaxed compared to the buzzy and peaky F8 and the torque brings back fond memories of FJ12 ownership many moons ago. Nice to have a shafty again too!

Despite the lousy weather conditions I was nevertheless excited about completing the deal and felt it was the right thing to do to deviate slightly on the way home for a couple of first day ownership pics.

Down a country lane and the tarmac ran out and quickly changed to gravel, potholes, puddles and general slippery surface.

My nice new 33 miler R12GS is now filthy!

I don't look upon it as being fobbed off , certainly not as it was me who asked for them. As for crappy, no no no , they serve a purpose and serve it well - that being to stop my digits going white, which previously resulted in complete lack of feel at the clutch and bar etc , no to mention painful. Still a result in my book.

It doesn't look too bad in the pics but by the time I got home it was covered, if not caked in crap.
She's back to best again now , well almost.

I like that blue. I like dirty bikes too, used like they were meant to be. By the way, went over to the Clue d'Aiglun today after you'd mentioned it, so thanks for reminding me. What a cracking rideout...I'm gonna have a rest for a few days now

Well ok , I didn't ride through a mud bath, but seriously, 33 miles out of the showroom and it was filthy dirty when viewing close-up.

Welcome to the LB club, from another LB owner. Its deffo the best colour GS, but dare I say that mine has 270miles on the clock and hasn`t seen rain yet!

Unfortunately it was chucking it down (yet again) virtually all day today and if I hadn't collected today it would have had to wait until the following weekend. Well that was never going to happen so I just had to put up with it p*ssing on my parade.

I have a sneaking suspicion it is better built than the F8 from a corrosive pov but time will tell.
I think this LB is so much better in the flesh than in photos and certainly suits me sir!

Simply loving it and never felt this much charm in a bike since my last Guzzi!
