Silly question but is it actually at 6,000 MLS or 6,000 after the first service, so at 6,600. Thanks

Had my 600 today, they said see you at 6000, probably be 12 months instead of mileage.

Wish I could say same. Bike is 6 weeks old and already has 1350 miles on the clock :blast

Pretty much why I asked the question, have 5,400 on her but next week going to France and estimate 1,200 miles. So my thinking was to get it done before if 6,000 or it can wait if it's 6,600

There is a an allowance to go over the service mileage but it may affect warranty later just a heads up

Try harder! Mine will be at 1000 miles after 3 weeks.;)

Had my first annual service done on Tuesday. It had 400 miles on the clock when I bought it in January this year and had 1770 on it when I took it in. Service book says next service is due on 18.04.2018 or at 7770 miles. Cost was £180 which included front and rear brake fluid change. They knocked £20 off due to me having to wait an extra hour

If your still In warranty. I'd get it done before you go ....if you get a problem and have gone beyond the mileage ...clench buttocks time

You wait till I get back from France at the end of May, following week, we can catch up at Bahnstormer service department ;)

Good plan. 1290 should be up to around 1000 by the end of next weekend as well.;):D

I had this debate with my supplying dealer. My bike was registered March 2016, I bought it Nov 2016 with 411 miles on the clock. They did. The 600 mile service when I bought it.
When I checked the book, in January 2017, they had marked the book as it needing its 6000/12month service on 1 March! I had only added 400 miles between the 600 and 6000 miles service....:green gri
I argued the point and they adjusted the service to Nov 2017/6411 miles. This was consistent with my mates K1600, I.e. 12 months/6000 miles after the 600 was done...:beerjug:

Its due 6000 after the Running In Check, so assuming this was done circa 600 miles you'll be fine waiting til you get back. Absolutely no need for a service before you go; why 'waste' 1200 miles doing it early?

Mine’s just about to go in for the 6k service and I’m going by the 6600 mile note in my service book, though the bike itself started shouting SERVICE at exactly 6k.
