Was charged 214 for this. Is this about right. (Mill)
I did phone Jefferies up and got quoted 18ish, but the extra petrol would've made up the difference.
Thought Bmw had standard charges?
Thanks Enabb. I wonder what the difference in cost is between the 6K on its own and with the annual service. The time taken to change the brake and clutch fluids is not that great, so in theory, there shouldn't be much additional cost.
£156 at Blue Bell, crewe for a 6000 with brake check and new brake fluid.
Was it a good job???
Well the bike is in Williams Manchester at the moment for new front disks, and new fluid, (as it looks second hand), new rear drive seal. (not spotted on service)
And set up on the engine as its been all to pot, so I am hoping the bike will be like new.
I was lucky with the rear disk as I kept cleaning the back wheel (ask Chris G) as there were bits of crap on it all the time, turned out to be that the rear pads were down to the glue, another few miles and it would have been sparks.
Mind you the wear on the back pads was my fault as the service manager at Blue Bell said I have been rideing with my foot on the brake
BVM Stroud 6,000 service £115 all in beat that! any thing over £150 there taking the p*ss go else were, what do you get on a basic service, oil+filter and ajust valve clearence and a quick lube here and there plus visual check of items like brake pads etc
£115 seems very cheap. wot do they charge an hour? on the annual service question - wos the bike fitted with integral abs? because that can make a difference to the cost as well. ie wheel circuit every 12mnths - control circuit every 24mths
well you lot should live near me-- £70 6k service---- £160 12k service- that includes all parts and labour -- plus a loan bike at no charge, (just put some petrol in it)--- i've been working on BM's since 1980:went solo in 1989 --- form an orderly queue please--
