Hello all,
My TE has 4200 on the clock and in a couple of weeks it will have a whole heap more on her as I travel to the highlands of bonnie Scotland.
If I go over the 6000 mile mark before letting the dealer loose on her will they give me grief or is there room for additional mileage and if so, how much are we talking?

Cheers,
Bonnie Bob :thumby:

Give the dealer a call and make them aware. That should cover you. I have never really understood why after the first service (600 miles) the next is due 5400 miles later.

If you had first service at 600 then you've got 2400 miles before dealer need to get his hands on it. Will that be enough?

Mine went in with 6300 on the clock, and no-one has batted an eyelid. The initial 600mile service was done with 830miles on the clock, and there has been two warranty jobs done since. Wouldn't kick the arse out of it, but I wouldn't worry too much with breaking 6000.

I was under the impression that the intervals are 10k km. No doubt the UK dealers have rounded it down from 6250miles to 6000miles ? In any case I'd say you have until 6600/6850 on the clock before it needs it.

The interval is 6000 miles, so it's due at 6600 miles.:rob:thumb

I'm at the other end of the scale, approx 5k on the clock and going on a 2300ml trip. Getting it serviced early , dealer will service them for the "6000" from 4k up.

I've been over 1500 miles over my service due to being away without any problems, not taking it in early or the next one will be due even earlier!

Thanks for the input.
6600 sounds like a winner to me.

Cheers,
Bob

I was once told by a dealer that there is a 1000 mile scope to allow for over miles. that would make sense though and we all know that sense has naff all to do with it!

My service light came on at 12 months old (5 April), but then it also displayed a mileage to service. It was serviced at 6400 and odd miles and still said it had nearly 200 miles left, so I'd say it's counting down from 6000 miles everytime it's reset as well as reminding when its annual service time :nenau
