650 twin handguards

I know this has been mentioned a few times to say the least and I've looked through Tim's useful amalgamation of threads but i'm after advice from someone who has managed this.
I had the stock handguards with additional fillets but now I have added a throttle lock so these are no good. I believe 1200's will fit? Basically i want them as wind deflectors for the winter.

Has anyone had any success with this set up?

Throttle Lock

Instead of replacing the guards, I have a throttle lock designed to work with the stock BMW hand guards that I could sell you - bought it by mistake instead. PM me if interested.

Hi Buz,

I do not know about the throttle lock, But I have the standard BMW F800GS guards on my F650GS and they are designed more to protect the levers.(angle down more) and I agree not a lot of protection from wind. I will change some time later, to something bigger and yes the 1200 ones are favoured by a lot of peeps and fit .

A few of the 800 girlies use the handlebar mufflers keeps ther litte digits warm as toast aledgedley.
