Hi yer fellas, zumo 660 arrived today and just done wiring it to bike (battery)
I,m loading the map source to comp as i type (usually takes about a week on this thing) Hand book looks a bit sparce. Off upt Scotland this sat morn with the 'talking ballast' on the back, so much to do and so little time.
Questions are
1. Is the unit fully preloaded with maps or do i have to load them.
2. Dont have a memory card to put in so can i still load mp3s on it.
Cheers, Nozza

Hi
yes you can load MP3 music to the unit with out using a card.
simply plug your zumo into the computer and load your music into the audible file.
simples :beerjug::thumb

But you can also use the SD slot and install a 16Gb card - did mine again reciently and got around 1800 tracks on the one card.

Stick a card in it for the music.... then when you plug in to the computer it will show the Garmin and the card seperately... drag the MP3's into the seperate card :thumb

Thanks for the replys fellas, got a couple of albums on, 9 below zero for me n Abba for the talking ballast.
Packed up ready for the morn, settling down now with a beer n a movie.

+1 for that (get a card for the music)
2. Run Webupdater to make sure everything is current.
3. Get rid of all the languages you don't need as this will make the unit run quicker and not crash.
4. Make sure that your map on your computer and device is the same. The Garmin doesn't like it when the maps are different.

Despite the unit being well made and really good when it works IMHO the software is still buggy and that is part of the 'experience' for a ±£400+ piece of kit:blast

Have fun.
