How much did you pay for your 6k mile 1200GS service?

Is the £250 I've been quoted the right price?

Got an 06 GSA, 6000 mile service at Bahnstormers (BMW Dealership) £148 all in, but I did get it done in Feb when they were fairly quiet and I asked for a deal.

NOG £166 on 1200GSA in January (10% seasonal discount) included pick up and delivery.

Good deal. They are now saying £260 inc the brake fluid change.

Thanks

Thanks for the feedback guys. Looks like I should have another word with the dealer or shop around a bit.

Why is there such a difference in price?
I've got no problem with paying a fair price for a decent job.
I'm not keen on paying too much.
I've had a quote for £250 also.
I see on Cannons website they quote £181.87.

Has anyone used Cannon before, if so are they o.k?

Sorry, forgot to say, both are combined 6000 + annual.

Just had a look around, it would appear Cannons have had some bad press, anyone here used BMW Park Lane-Battersea service centre? If so, how would you rate them?

No idea but a lot of people don`t have much good to say about Park Lane but rate SLM in London:thumb

These guys are expert surgeons. Everytime I go in they perform a walletectomy:D

They are friendly enough and I have not had any particular moans about them. They did jet wash the ACF50 of my bike when I asked them three times not to!

Nobodies perfect:nenau

Path.

Just in case anyone's interested in comparison or looking for a good BMW garage on the Costa.

I had mine done in Malaga, near the airport, a garage called G.Guarnieri. I used them before and they're top notch, (and speak English if required). They did the 10,000km plus the annual service, cost including a Mini One Clubman diesel hire car 220 Euros.

If your in the area and need to book any work, when phoning in advance there's an automated operator who will tell you to dial a number from 1 to 9 for an English speaking operator.

I've used them recently - they seem to have got their act together a bit more recently, and were fine. I used them as they are very near where I work. However, even by the standards of BMW dealerships they were pricey - try £105 per hour for labour. Compares to Coopers Tunbridge Wells cost of £75 per hour.

why are we still getting this "is it a 6000 or a 6000 plus annual?" stuff. There isn't a difference! You need a service 6000 miles or a year after the last service and they cost the same. If the dealer makes a differentiation then ask them to justify it.

Then why do they have a 6k and a 6K+ annual service schedule?

And if I there is no difference between them (which there clearly is in the schedule but I am humouring you) why do I need three 6K+ annual services in a year? :nenau
