hi

Just wanted to share my new "do-it-yourself" addition for my GS.

It's about a compressor embarked to inflate the tires.

I've used the empty spaces of the bike.

I installed a 12 volts compressor (a recovered car compressor) and 2 ventilators originating of a PC processor;
all together in a plastic case which I have set up under the electric plug left side.

Over here ( in France) one can also find these small 12 Volts compressors in the hypermarkets at cheep prices.

Than I prepared an aluminium plate on which I have add a small pressure-manometer, a push-button to inflate and a small valve to deflate.

This plate is brought up behind the small black lateral straight panel side and set up with the rubber blocs which are holding the panel as well.

To inflate or deflate the tires, you just have to take away the panel and connect the spiral pipe to the valve…etc.

By the way I have installed 2 large wires taken from a battery with 2 big plugs to connect my futures do-it-yourself electros without having to touch the plugs of the battery.

I've added also a fuse for the compressor.

This works very well and it can serve for example to adjust the pressure with or without passenger...

When leaving the road for off-road use one deflates and inflates to take the road again...

It's essential in case of puncture! ... etc...

I thought the idea could be of interest for some of you…

Enjoy,
