A few beers in Moffat

Just an hours drive away for me, sounds good, have local knowledge of some great riding roads, happy to lead a run out if anyone up for it, cheers for organising Alistair 🍻
Good idea and a nice offer. Why not start a thread in this section and see who's interested? (And sober!)

Ah well ... Noo then... I'll bet you didnae ken that the person who was the first to meet DL on that expedition is buried in a cemetery in Lanark?

Not a lotta people know that! :D

Furthermore, Dr.Livingstone was born just up the A74 from Moffat in a town called Blantyre and his wife's name was Mary Moffat.

Even more people didn't know that one.:D

Any #bikermatepoundofbutterinthefridge underground parking available for the steed of awesomeness? 🤪

I was standing in the front garden of a cottage on the Isle of Mull, taking photographs of the Tour of Mull Rally, when the owner came out and invited a friend and me in for a wee dram.

I commented on the Ibex horns he had on the wall. "David Livingstone shot that", he said. Of course, Livingstone's father was from Ulva. Mine host was the Rt Hon....I forget. He changed his name to Gremlin by Deed Poll, baked bread, made Jam and organised gigs in Tobermory for a living.
