Great thread Arsey. Looks like a fantastic trip. I suppose the Guzzi will be on the market now............

Some really good tips there and as others have said wetted our appetites in more ways than one for our planned trips in the coming months.

Keep up the good work mate :beerjug:

p.s. If you had any oysters in Cancale, they probably came from Jersey :augie

You and Nutty can have a bromance!!

Enjoy your last night in France. Have a 1664 for me :beerjug:

1664 ? Peasant !!!

I'm on the Affligem. Anyway, Nutty has switched to the girl'S version !!

Hope the sea air hasn't corroded your Rallye yet !!

I meant to say the other day that I can't believe how Mash have taken off in every town in France . Two have just ridden past now. Really cool looking cafe racers with small engines . Perfect for the wannabe hipppppiiiieeee

Ah so that will be the once great beer taken over and ruined by the mighty Heineken, then! :)

Good trip and some lovely photos, Arsey. Look forward to the next one.

Just don't look too closely

Never seen such a cheapo pile of Chinese shite in all my life, they truly are abysmal :barf

Well, that's it .

1621 miles.All D roads.

Waterproof leather jacket and jeans only needed for the second morning . Otherwise it was blue skies all week.

The bike was faultless . All day comfy, heated grips very hot when needed early mornings . Cruise control worked when roads straight enough .

The solution of using tank bag with Garmin in clear pocket powered up via Optimate charge plug worked a treat .

Very impressed with quality and use of Hepco and Becker luggage.Removes in seconds to leave unobtrusive frames (once I get the chrome bits powder coated black).

I know a few of you have PM'd about the Audace. All I say is if you can get one cheap like I did , do it .

The build quality is fabulous, switch gear all works .

Just fit Agostini pipes to give it a voice and let it breathe better .

Fit C Bow luggage and it'll tour........Effortlessly.......

NOT FOR SALE

FIN

(En dehors du prochain voyage dans quelques semaines, mais c'est une autre histoire!)

Castellane, which for some reason has always been very special to me. Can't say why,it just feels like a very peaceful place, the location on the Route Napoleon and next to the Gorge du Verdon, and just arriving there and pulling in to the main square with the church perched up on the rock, just magic.

I always feel the same, I think my reason is sitting in the square, having a coffee and pastry watching all the good looking women

A fantastic report there Martin, France pretty much has it all. Thanks for taking the time, it is appreciated. :thumb2

Great stuff.
We went down that way a few years ago during October and saw nothing but fog and rain.

Good report, thanks for putting it together, the guzzi seemed ideal for a relaxed trip like yours.
