I know I could look in the manual but its always fun to ask a question about oil on the forum.

When I cycle through the various display options using the info button on my new (to me) GSA TC there is one for Oil. All it has ever said is OK. I presume this is the oil level rather than the oil temp?

Will it let me know when I'm getting low, to save me all the hassle of looking at the sight glass below? What other readings can it display other than OK i.e. does it warn that you are getting low or just suddenly tell you you've got no oil in the bike?

And when it does tell me it is low.....what oil should I top it up with? :hide :D

It's either OK or low, up to you but I would and always did check the oil via the glass.

Finest extra Virgin oil from the Amazon forest is the only oil I would recommend!

The oil level can only be reliably checked by looking into the sight glass on a TC.
Use the oil grade specified in the manual.

That is all you need to do.

as gs.john or...Motul 300v 15w-50w your bike will be sweeter than a sweet thing

Excuse my pedantry, but you don't get olive oil from the Amazon rain forest. I find Tunisian very satisfactory, and since half the stuff sold as Italian is re-labelled, a lot cheaper.

Yes you do you just haven't found the really good stuff. If everyone knew how to get it then it wouldn't be special anymore ;-)

If you want pedantry I think you'll find that olives weren't mentioned in the first post, simply 'extra virgin oil'. Keep up at the back :D

You can get the finest extra virgin rapeseed oil from a farm near Stafford. It's supposed to be good at high temperatures.
