Cannot believe the response we are getting for this ride that was done. I'm sure that given the type of people that are involved with DS riding, anyone else would have done exactly the same for Ilze.

Was surprised to see that the whole story - but with only 3 pics were published in all the local Cape Town newspapers. Great to see that they deemed it a worthwile story to publish - instead of all the Doom & Gloom each day!

For the inspiration gained from this forum and the local one, I have to express my very sincere and heartfelt thanks on behalf of Ilze and myself.

I'd lift a jug to any and all of you - if I had the opportunity (maybe next year when we move from SA...?)

The amazing responses we've had to this ride from this forum, the SA forums and newspapers have finally convinced me that there's more work to be done before I leave SA.

Just a thought though - one of the inspirations used for the trip for Ilze was LWR - is there perhaps any chance that someone on the forum knows, or knows how to get hold of Charlie & Ewan. I woul dearly love to get an autographed picture of them with perhaps a message from them to Ilze.
That would be superb and really be something she'd treasure......

Any suggestions - perhaps someone would be kind enough to obtain one from Charlie at NEC???

I'd try my very best to compensate and make it worth their while when I get over there....
