Occasionally you get a day that turns out so good you feel as if you've stolen it.Yesterday was like that, the rain came on very heavy at the meeting place 'the garage in kirrie' that only 4 turned up this dwindled to 3 once we hit glen shee. After braemar it dried up,and got better as we headed out towards whitebridge on the fort augustus road, after fuel and food in fort bill we headed to lochailort-salen then Ardnamurchan, before heading home via the corran ferry -glen coe. Absolute superb day, perfect bikes for a run like this and great craic. At every stop we kept saying you just canny beat this.Bearing in mind to the three of us riding bikes in scotland is nothing new, neither were the roads we were on,It was just one of those days you manage to steal every now and then.

Mileage was 440. Route-started in Kirrie-Braemar via Glen isla. Then took A939 to Granton on spey. Took A938 to Carrbridge.Onto A9-up to Daviot.Turned onto the B851-B862 to Fort Augustus,Then A82 to Fort WILLIAM.
From there we headed out the A830 to Lochailort before turning onto A861 down to Salen.
Turned off towards Ardnamurchan onto the B8007 out to the lighthouse and back to Salen 27miles each way!. Back onto A861 to Ardgour, crossed by the Corran ferry. Then home through Glencoe-Loch tayside . A long day but thoroughly recomended. Sorry its all written can't get to grips with google mapping.

Good one !!
Some pretty awesome roads covered and all in the same day.

Obviously not been out with the lads the night before!!

Last time I saw you, you'd had a double skinful Jaegermeister still in you from the night before at Killin.
That was a sight to behold!!

You know,surprisingly i don;t remember that:D

I bet you didn't.

You would have frozen to death on the floor of the hostel if I hadn't got you back to your bed and covered up.

Lot of tossers would miss your rather stylish contributions!!

yeh that would be good.

Doing up an ex Forester's 'shack' up in Kirkton of GlenIsla.

Be up there in Summer for a week or two.

No great plans. But a healthy place to cycle and motorbike from.

Very small.

Just had 4 x 40' pines felled today too!!

Or did you miss that!

Going up tomorrow pm to see where they fell. Though damage to the wallet is all I'm expecting.

Was going to go up in the car but since weather is promising considering bringing the bike and going for a wee bimble Sat am.

ps So you must be bloody close! Hope you didn't get hit by one of my x-trees
