A Trip…

With mainly autoroute today as I had to get to St Malo this evening for my Ferry back to Pompey first thing tomorrow morning I decided to deploy my secret weapon.
Made by Rippl and recommended by certain YouTube “experts”
A Gibbons Bum underpants.

Well… all I can say is that my arse feels like it’s owned by Fanny the Wonder Dog after a night in the sack with Julian Clary.
😳
This will also be going in the bin on my return.

“Comfort seat” my arse.
These Germans certainly have a sense of humour!
😂

Try an Isotta, they’re a huge improvement (y)

Comfortable and does the job but who wants to look at a strap on prior to every ride. 🤔

Tonight it’s a Pompey Travelodge and then home tomorrow.
It’s been a blast and thanks for all the likes and comments.
It’s amazing what a trip like this does for the old mental health. 😃

And because most of us are older men in here remember to get your prostate checked out on a regular basis.
And by being checked out I mean the full works.
PSA, finger up the bum and any other scans or surveillance offered as you won’t always get the classic symptoms or by then it could be too late. As yet there is no proper screening program for Prostate Cancer either. 😟

I speak from not only from personal experience but from my professional role as well.
Adios amigos. ❤️

Thanks for taking the time to write it all up, appreciated.

That’s a very good reminder about the prostate thing. A friend of mine, had a sucessful operation to have it removed. Another is living with it, but under ongoing observation. Another is fully recovered. ALL because it was spotted early.

The NHS in London used to recommend and run annual screening checks, but they now seem reluctant to do them. To me it makes no sense, as catching the signs early makes everyone’s life easier, surely? I had to ‘persuade’ my local surgery to continue an annual check, not content to accept that “Your historic readings” are normal. It costs them pennies to run the checks and you get a historic record. No test is infallible but not to be tested is just silly. It’ll cost the NHS (and you) a lot more if an unchecked issue appears; that’s for certain.

Thanks for the write upTricky, you've given me inspiration to do similar next but avoiding Portugal.
As for the prostate thing you're right though I echo Wapping's experience having had similar in Lincoln - "Just because some bloke on the telly says you can have the test doesn't mean you can." was the response I got when I asked for the PSA test.

Absofugginlutely :thumb Better & way cheaper than any therapist
It’s no harm that you were in a beautiful part of the world with great biking roads

Early is the secret. I have bloods done every time i visit the GP & PSA is part of it so I have a historical record & can see if things suddenly change. I have cancer in my prostrate but apparently it’s very low grade & ‘shouldn’t’ cause me any problems
