Just had an email from abr saying about check in open from 7.30am i thought it was 9am looks like im getting up even earlier Friday morning. I've still not put a list of what main things i want to see an do, i best just start with go and have a beer all else will fall into place haha

just go and have a mosey around, there's plenty to see and do.

I just watched a 2025 clip of the Bridgestone trail on you tube, now has anyone done this loop before and is there anything of a dramatic nature? i have a r1100gs so no lightweight but i love her with continental trail attack 3 tyres, but more importantly i have never done any real off roading of any sorts, track riding and road riding many years so well versed in handling a motorcycle but i also know this is a different discipline of riding one i have little proficiency in. So my question is does anyone have any words of warning about that trail given my statement above, anything i should do to my bike prior to going on it (if i do) and just anything else more experienced riders in this type of riding want to share. Most appreciated look forward to getting to ABR in a day and a bit.

I’ve printed off the schedule and highlighted the half dozen or so things I don’t want to miss.

Enjoy. It’s going to be a cracker

Honestly you will be fine.
I did my first ABR on my at the time two month old CB500X, literally as it came out of the showroom and had no issues at all.

Any tricky looking bits have the option to bypass

Your biggest thing to be aware of are those who treat it like an Enduro race. You’ll see some proper twatish riding. Just be out of their way.

There were a few broken bones last year and a lot of fcuked bikes (my cousin is there with one of the dealers doing demo rides, he had a hell of a time keeping the fleet up and running).
